Preparing for P.I.N.K.

I officially start the P.I.N.K. method program on January 2, 2011.  One thing I’ve learned over the years is that in order to make something work you have to do two things: Prepare and Invest.

With three days to go before I start, I decided to go out and purchase some of the key items I will need for this program ahead of time.  Among the things I picked up was an On The Go Blender, Whey Powder Protein and an energy boosting multi-vitamin.

I plan on winning and it is not easy to win if we won’t prepare and invest in the things that help us get closer to our ideal self.

You have to ask yourself the question, “Will my failure to prepare end up preparing me to fail?” In my experience, the answer to this question has always been, YES.

The Countdown to P.I.N.K begins. Are you with me?

P.I.N.K.Y. Swear for the New Year

When I was little, the way I showed I was telling the truth and had every intention of keeping a promise was by a pinky swear.  This year, in honor of my decision to follow the P.I.N.K. Method, I am going to do a P.I.N.K.Y. swear right here on this blog.

So, here goes nothing: I promise myself  I will commit to the program and make living healthier a top priority in the new year. To keep me honest, I’ll post my progress week by week. #PinkySwear

What Pinky Swear do you have planned for the New Year?

What’s Eating the Emotional Eater?

The thing I like most about the P.I.N.K Method is that it doesn’t ask this question. The P.I.N.K diet doesn’t encourage you to waste your time or energy on figuring out why you eat the way you eat. Instead, it focuses on giving you new and improved skills to change the way you eat. Pretty soon those old feelings become obsolete because the new and improved woman staring back at you doesn’t need an outdated story about herself.

Exploring and thinking about why you’re an emotional eater can zap you of the energy you need to commit to a healthier lifestyle. Exploration can be exhausting. P.I.N.K. provides a refreshing approach. Instead of sitting around thinking about my feelings and why I eat them, I can focus on creating new feelings and a more modern sense of self worth. So what is eating the emotional eater? Who cares?? Stop Eating and Start Living.

Welcome to P.I.N.K. Method Mommy

Like many others, I was watching Dr. Phil a few weeks ago and saw what seemed to be the most amazing diet plan  lifestyle overhaul ever.  It’s called the P.I.N.K Method. The developer, Cynthia Pasquella, really taps into the feminine psyche by creating a culture that says it’s okay to be a woman and want to look and feel sexy. It’s biologically part of what women were designed to do. It’s not about being better than or good enough for men. It’s about being the best woman you can strive to be. If you are not where you want to be physically, mentally or spiritually, it is your sole responsibility to get there.

Now that is a brand of feminism I can buy into.

If you missed it and want to go from zero to kick butt in a relatively short-time, check out the website http://www.pinkmethod.com/ for more information.

This blog will be dedicated to my fitness and weight loss journey over the course of the next few months using the P.I.N.K Method. I am using this weight loss plan to get ready for my wedding on June 30, 2012. But the journey won’t stop there.

My journey starts January 2, 2012.  Will You Join Me?
